Sitting down to write this review of Dr Vellayan is a pleasure. Her dedication and passion in the field of gynaecology goes far beyond any expectations I ever had. In January 2020 I became one of her patients because having relied on the NHS through my life, they couldn't provide me with the level of care that I required. I knew my own body and something wasn't right, but they wouldn't take my concerns seriously enough due to my age. Having turned to the Nuffield in my desperation I found Dr Vellayan who saw me immediately. I was diagnosed after examination with womb cancer, and a biopsy taken there and then which she had couriered straight to the lab. Throughout my whole journey she has been by my side looking out for me and keeping in touch. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr Vellayan if any female is having any gynae problems or concerns. I worked as a paramedic in London for 8 years and know how tough it is in the NHS at the moment. I took the decision to go private initially with Dr Vellayan and I believe it saved my life. We will always be forever grateful to Dr Vellayan she is a wonderful person. Thankyou :)
